I will remember to this day where I was on I-70 when I heard those words. Several months later, a co-worker ( all of 20 years old) lost her mom to complications from a out=patient procedure. By the end of that day, my friend had become an instant mom to her 3 year old brother. Life DOES change in an instant and we never really know when that instant will come. Best possible reason to live each second as if it's your last. I also tell my friends & family I love them every time I end a phone call or send an email. Cause you really never know..... Wow Elaine…that is tough!
